In order to be eligible to take the driving test at an approved third party driving testing location one of the document you are required to bring is your Certificate of Completion ADE-1317 Adult Drivers Ed Certificate (if 18-24 year old).

To get an ADE-1317 Adult Drivers Ed Certificate applicants ages 18 to 24 must take the 6 Hour State-Certified Online Adult Drivers Education Course. Upon successful completion of our course, just download your certificate like tens of thousands of other Texas Adult Drivers Education students-turned-drivers before you. Take your printed Texas Adult Drivers Education certificate to the Texas Department of Public Safety (aka the DPS) to get your learner’s permit without having to take the written test.
